We highly recommend you start filtering by grade-band to help focus on your areas of interest.   • **NOTE that session capacity is limited to 30 participants in-person and 60 participants online. However, everyone is invited to attend the live-streamed keynote address which is pinned to your schedule. Stay tuned after the keynote to meet the winners of the Excellence and Resiliency in Mathematics Teaching Awards!

EVALUATIONS: Please complete an evaluation for each session you attend, including the keynote address. Also, complete an evaluation of your General Conference experience at the end of your day. Professional development hours will be provided for completed evaluations.

[VIRTUAL] Algebra Tiles + Area Model = Conceptual Understanding

Session Evaluation
Participants will be engaged in using algebra tiles and an area model to multiply and factor polynomials and to complete the square. We will use an area model for polynomial long division. The tiles support the transition from a concrete (manipulative) to an abstract (paper and pencil) model of mathematics.
